Aims and scope

The Annual of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” is founded in 1904. The Annual of Sofia University“St. Kliment Ohridski” Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics represents the pioneering scholarly journal affiliated with the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics at Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski". It stands as Bulgaria’s oldest scientific journal dedicated to pure and applied mathematics, mechanics, computer sciences and teaching methodologies within these domains. It is indexed in Scopus (ElsevierzbMATH (Zentralblatt für Mathematik), MathSciNet (Mathematical Reviews AMS) and Viniti (Russian Academy of Sciences).

The Annual publishes original research papers in English in areas aligning with the enduring scientific pursuits of the Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics at Sofia University:

  • in Mathematics – algebra, geometry, topology, analysis, mathematical logic, theory of approximations, numerical methods, classical, fluid and solid mechanics;
  • in Computer Science – all relevant topics and their practical applications;
  • in Education related to Mathematics and Computer Science.

Moreover, the Annual traditionally features articles spotlighting the lives and scholarly contributions of eminent Bulgarian scientists in Mathematics and Informatics, presented in Bulgarian with English abstracts.

Authors are encouraged to submit original and unpublished manuscripts, with the assurance that submissions are not under review elsewhere.
